is PREP®?
It is user-friendly communication skills and concepts
training with private practice
sessions for couples. As prepinc.com explains, “Over the last 30 years,
marital researchers have discovered the secrets of a lasting love. What destroys
love is no longer a mystery… Why love lasts, is not ‘Just Luck.’
Based on science and tested in the real world, PREP teaches skills and principles essential to a lasting love.” The goal is for couples to achieve a safe, honest and loving connectedness in their marriages, including the intellectual, emotional, sensual and spiritual dimensions.
What PREP IS NOT!
It is not therapy or an encounter group. Participants
are not required to share concerns before the group and are asked to
get permission from their spouse
before raising questions of personal nature.
Christian PREP contains the powerful combination of sound Biblical principles with the time-tested concepts and skills of the generic PREP program. Good Shepherd Ministries prefers to use the Christian PREP format.
