Restoring Passion and Romance

The writers of PREP® challenge politically correct public opinion by stating, “ While passion can last a lifetime, at some point, love usually faces a “reality check.” If you haven’t already, you and your partner will likely each move from vaguely seeing, but not caring about, your partner’s flaws, to seeing clearly and caring very much.

Some (so-called) martial experts suggest that couples need to understand that once the euphoric state is over, it’s over. The deep passion-the burning flame-has gone out, so get over it and learn to live without those feelings, or go find a new partner and start all over again. We don’t think that’s the truth of love at all.

We’d agree more with Henry David Thoreau when he said, "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."

We believe that passion and deep love can last for a lifetime. It doesn’t always. In fact, it doesn’t often. Deep, lasting love is not common, but it is a treasure worth pursuing, protecting, even fighting for. Thirty years of research have shown that having a great marriage is not just a matter of luck nor is an unhappy marriage a matter of mystery.

Couples can learn the skills and principles of successful relationships. The PREP Approach is designed to teach you how to keep your Love-Castle in the air where it should, and can, be.

You can learn the PREP approach by reading our books and doing the exercises contained in them,

listening to or watching our audio and video tapes or attending a workshop.”
